Stage two is complete
Ōkara Marina was opened in late 2025 just in time to welcome international cruisers from the Pacific. Berths have filled steadily since then, and amenities, an office, and a large car park are now in place.

Whangārei Marinas – two great locations
Ōkara Marina is operated by the Whangārei Harbour Marina Management Trust — a non-profit charitable trust managing more than 400 berths and pile moorings across Whangārei Harbour. This includes the much-loved Town Basin Marina, a long-standing favourite stopover for international yachties visiting Whangārei.
